FELLOWINTEL / LEGAL & TRANSPARENCY
Privacy Policy
Information handling, hosting providers, browser preferences, and applicable rights.
01Controller and scope
This Policy describes information processing associated with https://fellowintel.org, an independent nonprofit educational portal administered by FellowIntel’s owners. “Operator” and “we” refer to those administering the Service and determining its processing practices.
Version 1.1, effective from 14 October 2026. The Policy describes published features and distinguishes processing necessary to deliver pages from preferences that stay in the browser.
Mandatory legal provisions take precedence over this text. Publishing this Policy does not provide blanket consent or change visitors’ rights.
02The implemented browsing experience
The application provides public reading, navigation, and browser-based search and filtering. It does not implement accounts, login, newsletters, contact forms, user submissions, donations, payments, advertising, or visitor analytics. It does not request names, email addresses, precise locations, or payment details through these features.
Search text and topic filter selections are processed in the current browser session using the included research collection. The application does not send search text to a search server, put it in a page URL, or save it to browser storage. It is cleared when the relevant client state is discarded, such as after a page reload.
Anonymous browsing does not mean that website delivery involves no information processing. Technical connection data can be processed by a development server, hosting provider, content-delivery network, or security service, as described below.
03Technical connection and hosting data
Vercel Inc. hosts and delivers the pages. When pages and assets are requested, Vercel may process IP addresses, requested paths, dates and times, headers, user agents, response codes, and security or diagnostic data. The Operator’s administrative access allows inspection of execution and operational logs, without an operator-managed visitor-profile database.
Cloudflare, Inc. provides domain registration and authoritative DNS. The A records use “DNS only” mode: Cloudflare does not act as the HTTP proxy or receive web-request contents through this configuration. DNS resolution may involve technical processing by Cloudflare and the resolver chosen by the visitor, usually through queries from recursive resolvers.
The website uses local assets and a no-referrer policy. It does not load remote fonts, embedded videos, advertising pixels, or visitor-analytics scripts. Do not submit confidential information in a URL or request parameters.
04Information you voluntarily provide
There is no web form or in-app messaging channel. contacto@fellowintel.org, editorial@fellowintel.org, legal@fellowintel.org, and privacidad@fellowintel.org are designated for service administration, but their mailboxes are not activated. The website does not provide correspondence reception through them.
The policy for an operational channel limits collection to a reply address, message, necessary attachments, and delivery metadata to handle inquiries, corrections, rights requests, and legal notices. Messages do not create a subscription or authorize publication.
Do not send identity documents, passwords, sensitive information, or other persons’ private data unless a documented need exists and an agreed channel is used. A receiving email provider must be identified before reception is enabled; no current provider contract for these mailboxes is asserted.
05Purposes and applicable legal bases
Technical data is used to deliver requested pages, support navigation, maintain availability, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and respond to legal obligations. It is not used for targeted advertising or to infer political preferences or reader profiles.
Under the Argentine legal framework, processing must meet Law 25,326 and its exceptions and consent requirements. Where an applicable law allows legitimate interests, operational and security processing requires necessity and balancing against visitors’ rights; that basis does not replace consent when required.
The local theme preference serves only to implement the visitor’s choice. Future correspondence processing must be limited to the request’s purpose or specific obligations. Reading this Policy does not provide blanket consent; an incompatible optional purpose requires assessment and authorization where the law requires it.
07Recipients and disclosure
The application does not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising. It contains no advertising or marketing integrations.
Current technical recipients are Vercel Inc., for web hosting, delivery, and security, and Cloudflare, Inc., for authoritative DNS and domain administration. Their subprocessors support their respective services under their terms. The Operator accesses administrative tools for maintenance and diagnosis. No receiving email provider is enabled in the application.
The Operator may disclose information where legally required by a valid request, to establish or defend legal claims, or to address a concrete security incident, only to the extent lawful and necessary. This does not establish an unrestricted right to disclose information. Any future transfer of operations must be assessed and communicated under applicable law.
08Retention and deletion
There is no operator-managed account, subscriber, or query database. Search and filters are discarded when browser state is lost. The visual preference remains locally until you change it or clear the site’s data.
The project uses Vercel’s Hobby plan. Accessible runtime logs are retained for one hour according to its current documentation; the Operator does not configure log exports to other storage. That period is not a promise to delete all provider security, billing, or infrastructure information, which is governed by the provider’s terms and obligations.
The administrative policy retains ordinary correspondence for up to twelve months after resolution and minimal rights-request records for up to twenty-four months to document handling. An identified legal obligation or dispute may require retention of only necessary material for the applicable period. There is currently no correspondence archive or visitor-data backup; deployments and the repository preserve code and editorial content rather than personal profiles.
09International processing and transfers
Vercel Inc. and Cloudflare, Inc. are US providers with distributed infrastructure. The current deployment reports execution in the Washington, D.C., United States region and globally distributed assets; exclusive residency in Argentina or the visitor’s country is not promised.
Vercel incorporates a data-processing agreement into its terms, and its documents describe contractual safeguards for covered processing. The relevance of each mechanism depends on the data flow and applicable law. This document does not certify a transfer assessment, individual adherence to Argentine clauses, or universal compliance.
Where required, the responsible party must document a lawful mechanism for each transfer, relevant contracts, and supplementary measures before introducing new processing. Vercel’s and Cloudflare’s privacy notices are linked in this section for their independent practices.
10Security and incident handling
The application reduces collection by keeping search local and omitting visitor accounts, forms, and tracking integrations. It serves its own assets and sets security-related response headers. These design choices do not guarantee that every risk has been eliminated.
The Operator remains responsible for appropriate measures proportionate to actual processing, including access control, secure deployment, provider configuration, dependency maintenance, and protection of any future correspondence. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
If a personal-data incident occurs, the procedure restricts affected access, preserves necessary evidence, investigates its scope, and notifies individuals or authorities when required by law. Absolute security and security certification are not asserted.
11Your rights under applicable law
Depending on the law that applies and the information actually processed, you may have rights to request access or a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You may also have rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or automated decisions, and rights to appeal a denied request or complain to a competent supervisory authority. The application does not implement selling, advertising profiles, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
For processing subject to Argentine Law 25,326, access must be addressed within ten calendar days after a formally verifiable demand, and correction, updating, or deletion within five business days in the cases provided by law. You may complain to the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP) without losing judicial remedies. Where another law applies, its rights, exceptions, and deadlines will be respected.
The address designated for rights requests and review of a response is privacidad@fellowintel.org; its mailbox is not yet activated. Identity verification must be proportionate and does not require unnecessary documents. If no data can identify a visitor, that limitation will be explained without creating a profile. Exercising rights must not result in unlawful discrimination. The absence of an active mailbox does not alter AAIP channels or access to authorities and legal remedies.
12Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children. The application does not offer forms, accounts, or features inviting children to submit personal information. Technical delivery data may still be processed when a child visits a public page.
We do not deliberately solicit minors’ information or create children’s profiles. If an operational channel receives unnecessary information about a minor, the procedure deletes it unless retention is required and applies legally required authorizations and safeguards. A public visit may generate delivery data; an educational purpose does not eliminate protective obligations.
13External sources and third-party websites
The Service links to primary publications and license information. Links are not embedded content and do not automatically load those publications. If you choose to open an external link, that site receives your connection and processes information according to its own arrangements.
Our site sets a no-referrer policy to reduce disclosure of the originating page through ordinary browser requests. We do not control external sites or your browser extensions and cannot guarantee their privacy practices. Review external privacy notices before interacting with those sites.
14Profiling, automated decisions, and AI
The application does not profile visitors, personalize briefings based on inferred interests, or make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Search results depend only on the text and topic filters you select within the included collection.
AI assistance was used to prepare editorial text, which was checked against cited sources. There is no runtime AI chat, automatic news analysis, or integration that sends visitors’ search text or browsing activity to an AI provider. Any future AI feature involving personal information requires a separate assessment and appropriate disclosures before introduction.
15Changes to this Policy
The Operator must update this Policy when the Service’s actual processing or applicable requirements change. Adopted versions should show their effective date, and material changes should be communicated appropriately before new processing begins where required by law.
A revision does not authorize incompatible uses of previously collected data. Where a new basis or consent is required, it will be obtained separately. Accounts, newsletters, payments, donations, analytics, and automated ingestion are outside current features and require updated disclosures before introduction.
16Privacy contact
Service: FellowIntel. Website: https://fellowintel.org. Jurisdiction: Republic of Argentina. Addresses designated for general contact: contacto@fellowintel.org; legal matters: legal@fellowintel.org; corrections: editorial@fellowintel.org; privacy: privacidad@fellowintel.org.
