FELLOWINTEL / LEGAL & TRANSPARENCY
Terms of Service
Conditions for accessing FellowIntel and reusing its original editorial content.
01Operator and document scope
FellowIntel (the “Service”) is an independent nonprofit educational initiative publishing news, trends, and narratives analysis at https://fellowintel.org. Its owners administer the Service and are referred to in these Terms as the “Operator”, “we”, “us”, or “our”. “You” means a person accessing or using the Service.
A nonprofit purpose does not by itself establish incorporation as a civil association, charitable registration, tax exemption, or tax-deductible donations. The website offers free access, does not charge subscriptions, and does not receive donations through its current features.
Version 1.1. These Terms take effect on 14 October 2026 and govern the Service’s current features to the extent permitted by applicable law.
02Scope and agreement
These Terms set out the conditions for access to FellowIntel’s public pages and use of its editorial content. They apply to the extent a valid agreement exists under the applicable law. They do not replace mandatory notice or express-acceptance requirements.
Access is free and does not require registration. Current features include reading, navigation, language and visual-theme selection, search, and topic or country filters. A future feature requiring express acceptance must request it before activation.
The Privacy Policy explains information processing. Express content licenses govern their own permissions: these Terms do not impose incompatible restrictions or displace statutory exceptions.
03Legal capacity
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children. Where contractual capacity or parental authorization is required by applicable law, a person who lacks that capacity must use the Service with the necessary authorization or supervision. These Terms do not impose an arbitrary worldwide age threshold or eliminate protections afforded to minors.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with laws applicable to you. No provision requires you to waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
04Editorial purpose and independence
The Service aims to reduce misinformation through transparent sourcing, context, and an explicit distinction between evidence and interpretation. Editorial independence and impartiality are objectives and working principles. We do not warrant that content is wholly free of bias, error, omissions, or uncertainty.
Descriptions of facts, estimates, and projections must be read with their cited reporting periods, assumptions, and limitations. Interpretations and narrative framings are editorial analyses and are not necessarily the views of a cited publisher. A source citation does not imply endorsement of FellowIntel by that source.
The Service contains a curated research edition reviewed through 9 October 2026, including recent publications and explicitly dated background material. Publication dates are distinct from the reporting periods of observations, estimates, and forecasts. The collection is not a live news feed. Analyses were prepared with AI assistance and checked against cited publisher material, including indexed primary-publisher text where access was restricted; they have not undergone independent expert review. Our Methodology describes the current approach and its limits.
05Information and reliance
The Service provides general informational and educational material. It does not provide individualized legal, financial, investment, medical, safety, or other professional advice, and does not establish a professional adviser–client relationship.
You should consult original sources and, where appropriate, a qualified professional before making consequential decisions. Historical observations do not guarantee future outcomes. Forecasts and projections remain subject to their assumptions, and a summary may omit detail available in the original publication.
The Operator’s duty to provide accurate information or remedies under applicable mandatory law is not excluded by this section.
06Permitted access
You may access the public pages, follow source links, and use the browser-based search and filters for lawful purposes. This prototype provides anonymous browsing and does not offer user accounts, public submissions, newsletters, payment processing, or donation collection.
Reuse of editorial material is permitted as specified in Section 8. Any rights arising from public-domain status, fair use, fair dealing, quotation rights, or other applicable exceptions and limitations remain unaffected.
07Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Service in a manner that unlawfully interferes with its operation or infringes another person’s rights. In particular, you must not:
These restrictions address conduct involving the Service and its infrastructure. They do not prohibit lawful copying, adaptation, automated processing of lawfully obtained licensed material, or other uses authorized by the applicable content license.
08Ownership and content licensing
Subject to existing third-party rights, the Operator or the respective rights holders retain ownership of copyright and other intellectual property in materials they create or supply. Publication does not transfer ownership to a visitor.
Original FellowIntel editorial briefings expressly identified as licensed are made available by their respective rights holders under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (“CC BY 4.0”) . You may share and adapt that material, including for commercial purposes, subject to the actual license terms.
Attribution must identify FellowIntel and the briefing title, link its URL and the CC BY 4.0 license, and identify changes. One valid format is “Source: FellowIntel; CC BY 4.0; translated and adapted”, accompanied by links to the original briefing and license. Attribution must not imply endorsement. You may not impose additional legal or technological restrictions on granted rights.
The CC BY 4.0 grant cannot be revoked for compliant use of material already licensed. Later changes to these Terms do not retroactively withdraw that grant. The license includes its own warranty disclaimer and termination and reinstatement provisions; the full legal code governs the licensed rights.
The editorial license does not automatically cover the FellowIntel name, logos, trademarks, website software, or third-party text, imagery, databases, and source publications. Separate express licenses, permissions, statutory exceptions, and third-party terms govern those materials. Privacy, publicity, moral, trademark, and other rights may require separate permission even where copyright reuse is licensed.
09Third-party materials and external links
Source publications and external websites are provided for context and verification. Their ownership, licenses, availability, and information practices remain those of the relevant third parties. A link does not transfer their rights to the Operator or make all source material available under FellowIntel’s editorial license.
We do not control external sites and do not warrant their continued availability or accuracy. Review their terms and privacy notices before using them. The Service does not embed external media or load source publications automatically; opening a source link involves a separate interaction with that site.
10Corrections, rights concerns, and notices
The addresses designated for corrections and legal matters are editorial@fellowintel.org and legal@fellowintel.org. The mailboxes are not yet activated and do not receive notices. The contact instructions in Section 18 will be updated when they are enabled.
A correction request should identify the URL and disputed claim, explain the error, and supply verifiable sources. A rights notice should identify the material, claimed right, and a means of contact. Sensitive information unrelated to the claim is not required.
The procedure provides for acknowledgment within five business days after receipt through an operational channel, evidence review, and correction, context, or removal where appropriate. This is a service target and does not change statutory deadlines. Material changes should be identified in the affected briefing; communications are not automatically published and do not grant a general publication license.
11Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes the implemented browsing features and the technical processing that website delivery can involve. It does not substitute for consent where consent is legally required, and acceptance of these Terms is not blanket consent to personal-data processing.
12Availability and warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, completeness, continuous updates, or suitability for a particular purpose. Content and features may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons.
Any exclusion of express or implied warranties applies only where lawful. Statutory guarantees, duties, and remedies that cannot legally be excluded remain in force. Warranties relating to CC BY 4.0 material are addressed by that license.
13Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, or losses arising solely from reliance on general informational content or the operation of independent third-party websites.
Liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or damages, consumer rights, or data-protection rights that cannot lawfully be limited is not excluded. No general monetary cap is imposed. These provisions are interpreted under applicable law and do not improperly change burdens of proof or available remedies.
Where an exclusion or limitation is unenforceable, liability is determined under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms shifts a burden of proof or removes a remedy in a manner prohibited by that law.
14Restriction or discontinuation of access
The Operator may take proportionate measures to protect the Service, comply with legal requirements, or address misuse, including restricting abusive requests or discontinuing a feature. Where required by law, notice and an opportunity to seek review will be provided.
Restriction of website access does not revoke rights validly granted in previously obtained CC BY 4.0 material. Such rights remain governed by that license.
15Changes to these Terms
The Operator may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, law, or operating arrangements. Adopted versions should display their effective date. Material changes require appropriate notice and, where applicable, renewed acceptance before they take effect.
Changes do not automatically apply retroactively, override mandatory rights, or withdraw previously granted open-license permissions. A change in personal-data processing must be assessed separately under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
16Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Argentina, including its civil, data-protection, and, where applicable, consumer laws. Disputes are submitted to the competent ordinary courts of Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, only where that choice is legally valid and without prejudice to users’ mandatory protections.
This choice does not deprive users of mandatory protective laws, authorities, or courts available where they reside. Binding arbitration, class-action waivers, and waivers of access to administrative or judicial authorities are not required.
The parties are encouraged to seek a direct resolution for thirty days after a communication is received through an operational channel, without preventing urgent measures, interrupting statutory deadlines, or conditioning the exercise of rights.
17General provisions
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law, without using severability to defeat mandatory protections. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a general waiver.
These Terms govern the Service only within their lawful scope and do not displace separately applicable content licenses or mandatory legal obligations. They do not establish a partnership, agency, employment, or professional-advisory relationship between you and the Operator.
